Robert Pettycrew Robert Pettycrew is a 3rd generation native Arizonan. A former Scottsdale City Councilman, Robert took his first guitar lesson at the age of 9, and played in many bands throughout his young life. Moving to Colorado in the 1970's to pursue his music career, Robert played with the bands Rockin' Chair, Hanky Banister and Joaquin Pass. Moving back to Arizona in the 1980's he was recruited by local favorite The Hired Help band. Robert frequently shares the stage with local Blues favorites Chuck Hall and Big Pete Pearson, laying down his searing guitar licks and melodic vocals and harmonies. He has also shared the stage with the legendary musician Jerry Riopelle. Robert, along with his two childhood friends/guitarists Randy Clark and James "Louie" Lewis and with drummer Matt O'Brien and bassist Lyle Engle continues to produce hard driving, rockin' blues with 74th St, the perfect inspiration for his creative song writing ability.
